Lowell, MA- Lowell High School Science Teacher Margaret Kennedy is planning a student ski trip to the Jay Peak Resort in Vermont for next year.  Skiing or water fun anybody?

Mrs. Kennedy planned the trip at the Jay Peak Resort in the Green Mountains of  Vermont, approximately 4 hours away from Lowell.

Mrs. Kennedy also said, “It’s far enough away to experience real alpine skiing but  also convenient to get to and fairly economical.”

Mrs. Kennedy said the idea is for students and teachers to be able to learn to ski, perfect their skills and just have fun.

The cost of the trip is $625 per student and includes bus transportation to and from the Jay Peak Resort.  A $100 deposit is due with sign up form.

The cost also includes 4 dinners and breakfasts over 4 days, she added.

Sign-up forms require a medical form, a field trip form and a family member to contact in case of emergency.

The students along with their teachers plan to depart on January 13 at 2:30 from LHS main campus.  The group plans to return on January 16.

Junior student William Massaquio said, “I’m not too sure about the trip but I would like to go and see different things.” Massaquio also said that the trip will be more fun with friends and teachers.

Mrs. Kennedy said she chose Jay Peak because she thought it would be a better place for the teachers and the students because during the summer her family usually goes there to ski and the services and facilities offered are great.
