LHS Student’s Snapchat Gone Wrong
Perceived student threat puts student in police custody

Lowell, MA, October 13th 2017-On a Friday morning in October at approximately 7 a.m, a Snapchat picture containing an edited picture of a weapon, and the caption “Don’t come to school tomorrow..” was posted by an LHS student, and was reported to the authorities by teachers.
The alleged threat was confirmed to be false, according to a letter sent to the LHS community by the Head of School Marianne Busteed later that morning.
The student who posted the picture was taken into police custody, according to the letter and reports in local media.
According to the Lowell Sun, the student was charged with making threats causing disruption of school by the Lowell Police.
