LHS participate in High School Quiz Show

Boston, MA- Lowell High School’s Quiz Show team traveled to WGBH studios in Boston to compete in the trial rounds of High School Quiz Show.  The Quiz Show will air the finals on WGBH Channel 2 with Host Billy Coasta once the finalists are selected.  LHS sent four students to represent Lowell and they will discover next week whether the team moves on to the round of 16.  “We were the most diverse group there and there were only four of us,” said senior Capone  Phouvong.  Students, who move on to the finals, get to meet the famous Costa, who is well known as the host of the award winning show, “TV Diner” which airs on NECN.

Awo Adu, Katherine Huang, Jahnvi Patel, and Capone Phouvong traveled to WGBH in Boston to participate in the qualifying round for High School Quiz show. Over 100 teams from across the Commonwealth participate in the qualifying round; 16 schools will progress to the televised competition. Our four students did a great job, but we won’t know the results until next week, when the top sixteen teams will be announced, according to Coach Robert De Lossa.
