Best Buddies is coming to LHS said National Honor Society Advisor Mrs. Lisa Colloca in a recent email to the LHS community.  The nonprofit organization is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-on-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, according to the website.

Teachers Ms. Kathryn Ronan and Ms. Jackie Verzone plan to launch a Best Buddies Chapter here at Lowell High School beginning this fall 2018.  The National Honor Society is partnering with Best Buddies at LHS. NHS took applications and has selected junior Allyson Imbacuan to represent Lowell High School over the summer at the Annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference in Indiana. She will work closely with Ms. Ronan and Ms. Verzone and NHS during the upcoming school year to help support the program.
