Student Link Association

A Series Featuring LHS Clubs

Natasha Watts

The Student Link Association (SLA) was started this year by students, Kevin Truong, Nyckole Lazaro, John Pham, Jessica Sullivan, Kody Pailin, Shannon Cronnin, Jasmine Seng, Khiem Tran, and Julie Le along with their advisor, Mr.Fadness. SLA is an ambitious group that hopes to connect with other students to provide support for concerns regarding topics like college preparation or mental health.

The group has already begun meetings to discuss steps that they can take to improve aspects of our school that require change. SLA is “working to build upon current projects and find new and more productive ways to help students navigate and survive the halls of LHS.” Truong said. So far, the SLA’s goals are to gain traction from their developing website and podcast series— coming soon! The Student Link Association meets monthly on Wednesdays, from 2:30-3:30PM, and is currently welcoming new members.

Watch their first blog and consider joining! For more information, contact Mr. Fadness from Fine Arts in room 39, or LHS student Kevin Truong.
