Friend to Friend… Revisited

The White Queen: A Poetry Collection

The Storyteller

A word in your ear, for you from a friend

That I’m here to hear the words you’ll say.

I give my blessing to you, we’ve made some amends

But, my love for you will always stay the same.

Look at you now,

You’re a bright, shining star,

To my White Queen, I’ll bow

And gladly serve from afar.

When your lips touched mine,

And I embraced you in my arms,

I felt our love age like wine,

As you delivered from harm.

Words from friend to friend:

“I’ll stick ’til the end,

When our lives turn gray

I’ll still save you from dismay.”

If you’ll spare me a word,

And some wisdom you bear:

You were the Queen of my world

And for that, I’ll always be there.
