The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, has been reigning for seventy years, making her England’s longest-reigning monarch. February had marked her Platinum Jubilee, or 70th year of rule. There will be a four-day celebration in June to celebrate the Queen’s reign and service to the country.

Queen Elizabeth has also made a statement regarding the royal family’s future. She commented in support of Camilla Parker Bowles, known as Duchess of Cornwall, becoming “Queen Consort” when her husband, Prince Charles, inherits the throne.

Recently, she has been diagnosed with Covid-19 and continues to show symptoms. She has no plans of abdicating her role as monarch anytime soon and promises to keep fulfilling her public duties to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
