Halloween Crafts: Foldables

Sakhi Patel

It is almost Halloween and the perfect time for some crafts! I will show you how to make foldables! I just call them foldables, but they are actually called “folding two-faced drawings”. These are pictures on paper, but when you “open” them, you see a whole new perspective.

Step 1:

Take a letter-sized (11 in by 8 ½ in) piece of paper and mark the middle of the page. Then, take one of the edges of the paper and fold it, overlapped, hamburger style. Do the same for the other side.

**You can adapt from what I have or make your own designs**

Step 2:

“Close” the foldable and draw a jack-o-lantern so that half of it is on one flap, and the other is on the other flap.

**You can adapt from what I have or make your own designs**

Step 3:

“Open” the foldable and draw a quirky ghost, a cauldron, bats, spiders, and some candy scattered around.

**You can adapt from what I have or make your own designs**

Step 4:

Color! Fill in the little drawings!

Aaaaaannnnd…. You’re done!! It is that easy to make a simple but effective drawing! As stated before, you don’t need to do exactly what I did. You can use different drawings, make it scarier on the inside of the foldable, or use different colors!
